About IIT

When we talk about technical education in India then there is hardly anyone who has not heard of the IIT`s. One of the most highly reputed institutions in India the IIT`s or Indian Institutes of Technology are the finest places to learn and educate. It is a dream of students of intermediate to qualify for the IIT`s.

The reputation is established in the fact that the top leaders of the technical field like Infosys, Google, Paytm, RBI, Flipkart, Politics are from the IIT`s.  What makes them so special is the fact the education is directly in sync with the latest standards and is updated on a regular basis which makes the learning even more appropriate for the students in the competitive world.

Imparting technical education is a costly affair and mostly the government has the regular funding to finance the changing infrastructural needs. This allows the candidates studying in the IIT`s a great chance to have an edge over others in terms of knowledge and are able to achieve success in life.

In the recent years the central governments have given extensive attention in developing IIT`s in every state of the country. Admission in IIT`s are achieved through the Joint Entrance Exam or JEE which is conducted each year and the students have to clear the examination in two phases (JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced)) making them eligible for admission in the IIT`s.

Once the students achieve a rank in the exam they can then sit for counselling sessions which awards them a degree of choice as per rank and also the institution location. JEE also makes sure that you have a state rank which makes you eligible for state universities as well.

The various IITs function autonomously, and their special status as Institutes of National Importance facilitates the smooth running of IITs, virtually free from both regional as well as student politics. Such autonomy means that IITs can create their own curriculum and adapt rapidly to the changes in educational requirements, free from bureaucratic hurdles.

The government has no direct control over internal policy decisions of IITs but has representation on the IIT Council. Course fees for B. Tech in IIT is about 8 lakh to 10 Lakh. The medium of instruction in all IITs is English.

IIT or the Indian Institute of Technology is the dream education locations for any students and they really work hard to achieve it. But what makes them so special.  Well the reason lies simply in the fact that they are one of the best places to study in India.
